Continuing from my previous FinnCon/Archipelacon presentations about the Sauutiverse, a Afrocentric science fantasy universe, created by an African writers collective (I’m a founding member), this presentation would briefly recap the genesis of the Sauutiverse and how this shared universe has continued to grow. I will also offer new insights as I am now an editor for the next Sauuti anthology, Sauuti Love Songs.
This presentation will include references to the latest Sauuti works and exclusive glimpses into forthcoming works, as well as provide a Q&A session for those wanting to create their own shared world including possible discussion about how to handle IP rights, contracts, and publishing as a collective.
